+ Lead Specialist Support Coordinator

Adelaide Specialist Support Coordinators was founded in 2019. Malgosia's motivation for starting Adelaide Specialist Support Coordinators, was to provide individuals and families with a trusting, friendly and reliable service, particularly throughout complex and unforeseeable situations. This motivation is the foundation of our teams mission to provide a high quality, person and family centered service to families throughout South Australia. Malgosia has a deep understanding of the Federal NDIS Legislation, working alongside other state Non-Government, and State Government bodies such as SAHealth. Malgosia is a passionate advocate in helping those with additional needs access their local community from a suitable and safe accommodation with well matched supports.

Lisa R

Specialist Support Coordinator

Lisa has worked in the Aged Care, and Disability sector for the past 10 years in South Australia.  With a recent background of SIL accommodation management, supporting people with disability, Lisa uses a strengths-based approach.  She has a Mental Health, Disability, & Management educational background.  Lisa is currently studying her Counselling diploma, including an extensive range of specialist therapy delivery models.  Lisa has a wealth of experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and has a person-centered approach.  Her aim is to provide the best possible support for each individual to ensure they are empowered to live their best lives.  Lisa aims to support individuals holistically, connecting with each person, stakeholders and individualised supports.  Lisa is passionate about working to ensure best practice & advocacy are available for each individual to have the best opportunity to reach their Goals.  When not working, Lisa loves to spend quality time with family, pets & friends, also enjoys oil painting and gardening.

Cassie V

Specialist Support Coordinator

Cassie is a dedicated Specialist Support Coordinator with a passion for working directly with participants to help them achieve their goals. Before moving into the disability sector, she worked in health and communication roles within the South Australian and Victorian State Governments, gaining valuable experience in navigating complex systems and stakeholder engagement.

Cassie values the relationship-building aspect of her role, working closely with participants, families, and service providers to foster a collaborative and person-centred approach. She enjoys navigating complex situations and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including allied health professionals, care teams, and community networks, to ensure participants receive high-quality, outcome-focused support.

With a strong advocacy mindset and a problem-solving approach, Cassie is dedicated to empowering participants and helping them navigate the NDIS to access the supports they need to live fulfilling lives

Lisa S

Specialist Support Coordinator

Lisa has a long history of working with people with disability and their families, while supporting them to live the life they want.  With a background as a Developmental Educator she has previously worked for The Government of South Australia and Non-Government Organisations in various roles, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.  She was one of the founding committee members of the DEAI, and has most recently managed SILS Accommodation, spent several years as hospital liaison for Disability SA and was involved in Exploring Housing Options for people who found themselves in complex and unexpected circumstances.  Lisa is ardent about her family and friends, travel (pre Covid-19) and home.

Emma S

Specialist Support Coordinator

Emma has worked in the South Australian disability sector for over 20 years.  She graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Social Science.  Her experience includes support worker, case manager and management roles, mostly within state government services. Emma is committed to improving the choices available to people with disability and advocating for their voices to be heard.

 

When not working, Emma volunteers in her local community, enjoys spending time with family, friends and pottering around in the garden. 

Urszula B

Specialist Support Coordinator

Urszula is passionate in assisting individuals and their families in using their NDIS Plans. As an experienced Support Coordinator, she empowers participants and their families in reaching their goals, especially with her own lived experience supporting her loved ones with acquired brain injury and ASD. Urszula is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology and has over 6 years of experience within South Australian disability and mainstream medical sectors, Urszula has worked on the front line, but also in Practice Manager roles focusing on social policy, team management and coordination. Urszula values each participant and endeavors to meet their unique goals. Outside of work, Urszula enjoys spending time with her loved ones, and spending time outdoors in the sunshine.

Renee W

Specialist Support Coordinator

Renee has over three years' experience working as a Support Coordinator, prior to which she worked as an Allied Health practice manager and therapy coordinator. Renee is currently concluding her Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Behavioural Studies, in order to better support her clients.

 

Renee has a special interest in working with participants with Psychosocial Disability and Brain Injury, and has completed additional training with Spectrum and BPD Co in Borderline Personality Disorder. Renee is passionate about taking an outcome-focused, trauma informed approach to support, ensuring that each individual's needs are met with understanding and respect.

Amy B

Specialist Support Coordinator

Amy is an experienced Support Coordinator with over 15 years experience working in the disability and domestic violence sector, and currently further expanding her knowledge by undertaking a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of South Australia.

Amy’s key focus and strengths lie in supporting individuals with complex autism and intellectual disability diagnosis, with extensive knowledge of the NDIS legislation, and experience within the Administrative Appeal Tribunal.

In addition to Amy’s professional experience, outside of work, Amy is a dedicated disability parent and spends her free time as a disability advocate and volunteering at her local Navy Association with the Veterans. Amy considers herself a movie buff and loves spending time with her family.

Risha B

Specialist Support Coordinator

Risha has worked within NDIS for over 3 years and has completed her Master of Social Work degree from Flinders University. Risha puts on her Social Work lens to best support the client and sees though their eyes by utilising an empathetic approach. Risha has developed expertise with NDIS participants within the Justice system and aims to connect them as well as all her participants with NDIS as well as main stream services to holistically support her NDIS participants. Risha resonates to strengths-based approach and trauma informed practice to best support all her vulnerable participants and continues to provide dedicated and sincere support to all her NDIS participants to reconnect them to their community and empower them to live independently.

Marissa O

Specialist Support Coordinator

Marissa started her career in NDIS in its infancy in 2012 and has been a part of its growth and evolution over the past 10 years. She has an educational background in Community Services & Mental Health including a range of specialist therapy delivery models such as DBT and CBT.  She has a wealth of experience in case management with a particular focus on forensic mental health and complex clients. Marissa prides herself on delivering holistic person-centred supports with a trauma informed approach.  She has working in both the non-for-profit, private and government sectors.

Marissa enjoys working with clients from a multitude of backgrounds including LGBTQIA+, Australian First Nation People, neurodivergence's and even the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community; she is also fluent in Auslan.  

Outside of work Marissa can usually be found out in nature or attending workshops and conferences to further her knowledge

Emily M

Compliance and Innovations Manager

Emily graduated with a double degree in Social Science and Psychology in 2017, and is also currently undertaking a Master of Social Work (Semester 1 2020 completed at the University of Calgary in Canada). Since graduating in 2017, Emily has worked in a variety of roles in the South Australian disability sector including Case Management, Support and Specialist Support Coordination, and Intake.  Emily's role as the Compliance and Innovations Manager is to support the Specialist Team in implementing NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators. Emily ensures that our team continues to provide gold standard, person-centered care that is aligned to the legislation, best practice, and compliant with the National Framework.

 

  When not working Emily loves to travel, meet new people, and be creative through art and craft.

Desiree M

Specialist Support Coordinator

With over 20 years in the human services sector, Desiree is a dedicated leader with extensive expertise in disability services, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. Holding a Bachelor of Community Services along with multiple diplomas in youth work, community sector management, and counselling, she has built a career focused on driving innovative service delivery and strategic transformation. Desiree has led key initiatives, including spearheading the SA NDIS Hospital Liaison Pilot and implementing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the South Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) to improve service coordination for people with disabilities in hospital settings. Her ability to navigate complex systems, foster high-performing teams, and implement impactful programs has led to meaningful change across government and non-profit sectors. Passionate about inclusivity and best practices, she is committed to ensuring sustainable, high-quality services that empower individuals and communities. Outside of work, Desiree enjoys spending time with loved ones, bike riding and gardening. 

Eli V

Specialist Support Coordinator

Eli holds a Bachelor of Laws, and has worked as a lawyer in policy before moving into the NDIS space. He brings his legal expertise and advocacy skills to support participants in navigating complex justice and foresneic mental health systems and ensuring their rights are upheld. Eli takes a client-focused approach, listening carefully and working alongside participants to help them achieve their goals. He has developed particular experience with participants involved in the Justice system and uses his knowledge to connect them and all his participants not only with the NDIS but also with mainstream and community services. Eli works along side State Justice Teams, Department of Correctional Facilities, James Nash House, Community Mental Health and Forensic Community Mental health. 

Dominique W

Specialist Support Coordinator

Dom has a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and brings experience as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, where she worked with participants with complex needs and developed expertise in trauma-informed practice.

 

She has a special interest in supporting people with Psychosocial Disability and is passionate about helping participants feel safe, understood and empowered.

Before working in the disability sector, Dom worked in communication management and stakeholder engagement, building strong skills in collaboration and bringing teams together.

Outside of work, Dom enjoys spending time with her family and getting outdoors.

Catie A

Specialist Support Coordinator

Catie holds a Bachelor of Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced), and a Bachelor of Criminology. She has over two years of experience working in the disability sector and is deeply passionate about assisting people to overcome barriers and achieve meaningful outcomes.Catie has a particular interest in working with forensic clients and individuals with dual diagnoses and complex presentations. Drawing on her criminology and psychology background, she takes a balanced, trauma-informed, and person-centred approach to supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities.Catie enjoys the analytical and reflective aspects of her work, particularly report writing, where she can clearly communicate client progress and ensure supports are tailored to individual needs. Her calm, empathetic manner and commitment to best practice ensure participants feel supported, respected, and empowered in their journey toward greater independence.
